Bedford Regatta 2016

May 10, 2016

I would like to say a huge thank you to you all for your help from the volunteers at Bedford Regatta. For those of you who managed to get down to watch, those that raced or those who helped it was a great day. The weather helped too!
All athletes raced well against some tough opposition across the races, special mention must go to the first quad who made the Junior quads final, after two strong showings in earlier races. Despite executing the plan of the race, and achieving what I had asked of them, they were beaten by a strong BMS crew who had the answers in the end.
Well done to the those athletes, and all who I hope will have learnt some valuable matched racing lessons, and enjoyed the great regatta.
We move forward, as we always do – to some crews from the older girls that will race at Nottingham City regatta this weekend.
