We were very proud to introduce Sir Matthew Pinsent to David and Nicola at the Star Club Awards Dinner where he was guest speaker; part of the London 2012 Olympic legacy in action and not least something that Woodfines Solicitors are actively making a reality.

Woodfines are proud to be supporting the Star Club’s Junior Rowing programme.

In September 2013, Woodfines and the Star Club Junior Rowing launched a new, informal business lunch for businesses in and around Bedford. It was a well attended event and we know that new business was generated for a number of attendees and indeed, we were one of those with a couple of new sponsorship opportunities arising!

It was great to help support and partner our own sponsors, Woodfines Solicitors, and the next one of these quarterly events is being planned for Wednesday 5th February, just before Bedford Eights Head where we will look to race the boy’s ‘state eight’ once more – sponsored this time by Woodfines and resplendent in their Woodfines racing kit!!

For full details or to register your interest for February, please contact Nicola O’Loughlin on 01234 270600 or email noloughlin@woodfines.co.uk

Woodfines Lunch Club:

Woodfines will be launching their Business networking event in September – below is the extract from their most recent Newsletter on the subject plus below that a link to the full newlsetter with our Juniors ‘on tour’ with Woodfines:

Star Rowing Club
Woodfines’ Bedford office has recently become
sponsors of the Star Rowing Club’s Junior
Rowing programme, which does fantastic work
to promote rowing in schools across Bedford
and Bedfordshire.
Tim Foster MBE (Olympic Gold Medal Winning
Rower) said, “It’s great to see Woodfines getting
involved with the junior programme at Star
Club, my home rowing club. This is the Olympic
legacy in action and I hope it leads to other local
businesses getting involved and supporting
our young people in a sport they might not
otherwise have access to.”
In support of this, we will be launching
a networking event at the Clubhouse in
September – to find out more, please contact Nicola at Woodfines:

Woodfines – a perfect fit:

This is another perfect fit for the Junior rowing project – the firm is full of personality and genuinely wants to get involved – hence they are partnering us and have plans in place to support the team at events and want to back our Awards scheme. Pulling together is the name of the game.

By way of background, Woodfines Solicitors are at the heart of the community. They have offices across Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire and Cambridgeshire and offer a wide range of legal advice for both businesses and individuals.

Not only are they involved right across the legal spectrum, they have high visibility throughout the local region, being proactive and dedicated in both supporting and organising events of both legal and non-legal natures including excursions into the sporting community.

Nicola O’loughlin, Marketing Manager for Woodfines said, ‘We genuinely want to get involved with the community and this project is the perfect vehicle to do that with. We have already attended Bedford Head of the River to support the Juniors and look forward to more events, both local and away.’ She added, ‘We will also offer opportunities for our own staff to get involved plus clients and other business contacts – this is going to be both fun and rewarding in all senses!’
